Mechanicsburg Recovery 9-2-09

Hi all, doing my first Deuce recovery at Mechanicsburg tomorrow 9-2-09, Truck is loaded with tools and supplies, paperwork/insurance. I'm sick as a dog so this ought to be fun, only have 80 miles to go.

Does anybody need any trucks looked at? I'll be glad to do it.

I should add and ask, what size socket is needed for whel lugs, I know it's a budd, but just wanted to make shure of the size, also the t-case/trans oil fill is it a 1/2 or 9/16 hex, i've seen both sizes posted , and are the diffs the same plug as trans/t-case, or are they square?

80 miles? It won't even get warmed up on that short ride! LOL Budd is 1 1/2" and 13/16" square. Those plugs can be what you listed and also square as well.

I saw some posts saying they used a 1/2 and 9/16 hex plug, most of the spicers and rockwell t-cases I've seen(smaller applications) have had square plugs.

Was tryin to stay light with the tools, but I know if I don't bring somthin, I'll for shure need it when I get there.

You'll be better off taking both the 1/2 and the 9/16 hex with you. For the square plugs you should just be able to use your 1/2 drive ratchet for those. My tranny is 9/16 hex and the transfer on mine is 1/2, so you be the judge on what to take...LOL

After thinking I'll take all sizes, I'm shure after a tranny/t-case/rear swap, the mech, did not worry bout matching plugs. LOL
