mep-006a diode suppressor

I just picked up a mep-006a. Its missing a diode suppressor that is right above the day tank. What's it for? Its a little black box that has for wires to it. Where can I get one? Is it the same on different models? Thanks Brad

I believe that part is called the rectifier assembly. Inside the "cube" are diodes which have something to do with fuel pump operation. I believe the float switch circuit is also related. The TM provides more details than I have in my head... I don't have any MEP5s or MEP6s but I suspect the rectifier assembly is the same as found on an MEP4. You can check the TMs (parts list) to confirm whether the NSN is common for all three models.

Yep--I've tested those on MEP4 units...haven't come across a unit with that item removed, though.

I found the nsn number. Its 5961-00-394-0902 Does anybody know where I might get one?
