The MEP-021c is a 400 hz of the MEP-016c generator used to power radars and missile systems, it is nearly useless for most civilian needs, as you can not power anything dependant on 60 hz power (motors, or anything with switch mode power supplies or transformers), it is only useful in powering resistive loads like the soon to be obsolete incandescent light bulbs or resistive heating elements. Strangely enough this is the second time today that the MEP-021 family has came up on this board.

The only way would to be to change out the generator end, and probably some of the stuff in the control box. Not cheap, but basically what he bought was an engine attached to a big paperweight. He is not the first, we get people on here fairly often that have bought these 400 hz generators (often ones a lot larger and more expensive than the MEP-021's) that did not know what they were getting.
