Well.....I am now a firm believer in the deoxit. Sprayed it in the switches and exercised them and the load meter sprung to life and appears to be acting normal. The Gunk brand electrical cleaner did nothing. I could actually see crud coming out of the bottom of the S8 switch tower after using the Deoxit.

I am having the same issue, ~30% load at ~41 amps on 120/240. Used a known working gauge and replaced overload/short relay (K8) but same issue. Used Dexit and cleaned everything and tried working it into the switch.

Does anyone else have any thoughts? I also am aware it's not trustworthy but its nice to have

Check out this thread. Lots of good info on things to test to track down the cause of a false overload.
