MEP-804-B Voltage

I recently purchased a MEP-804-B with less than 100 hours on a generator trailer. Runs perfect. Being uneducated on these generators, I wasnt aware it is 120/208V 3 PH. 240/416 3PH. I planed on using it at my business to power up during power outages with a transfer switch.

Did I make a mistake not realizing the 208 V? Can it be changed to 220V, or can I use it as is?

My electrician tells me I can not use this unit.

Any info regarding the voltage would be useful.

Thanks,
