MEP-804A Not Cranking

Good Evening,

I have recently purchased a new to me 804A and cannot seem to get it started.

From pictures and videos it ran at one point. I installed brand new batteries on it and went to crank and all I hear is a click on what seems like a solenoid on the injection pump. I used the dead crank and it spins over fine. I have used the manual pump to try and prime the lines and they are getting fuel but I do not see any fuel coming out of the pump to the injectors.

I have skimmed over some of the manuals, but honestly have no idea what I'm looking at, so I have done some YouTube digging. I do not know where else to continue looking and some help would definitely be appreciated.

Please don't be too rough I'm only 25 and this is my first generator project/experience. As I make this post I do not have pictures with me but I will make sure to add some as it dark out.

Not sure which manuals you have skimmed over, but the operators manual ( located in the TM section of this forum ) should explain step by step how to start the machine.
Were you able to gain any info on the starting procedure from YouTube? Or are you still unclear on the steps?

First things that come to mind are:
1) E-Stop switch pulled out? ( big red button )
2) Dead crank switch in the "normal" ( centered ) position

Once you're confident in the starting procedure, then we can start to troubleshoot.

Tell us what TM's you are using. That way we make sure we are all on the same sheet of music. Did you get the TM's you are using from the forum here, or someplace else?
