Hey guys.

So i came across a 806b that has an issue i had not seen before. The sender states -6% fuel. Pulled the sender, ohmed it and it works fine. Could it be the backplane receiving unit thats bad?

That sender does no ground with a screw to the sender body. Its a 2 pin connector with the ground in one cable. Maybe trace it back to the main grounding point inside the control box. Will check that out.

I would find where that circuit lands to whatever is monitoring and you can use a resistor or potentiometer to simulate the fuel sender directly to the input take the wire out of the equation.

You got about three options, sensor wire or input sounds like you've eliminated the sensor.

Good Day everyone. The sender is connected from the sending unit straight to the I/O TCM 100 module with 2 wires. The senders get trash in them and dirt. Pull ,clean, and while drying use the attached an old fat dude put together and check up to the J23 pins 5 and 22. Make sure the wires are tight. The senders do go bad, but I found a lot of times the wiring and connectors need checked, cleaned and ensure they make connection. See if this helps------
