MEP-806b missing display

I've noticed a few MEP-806B's that are available without displays. Does anyone know if the monitor essential for operation, or if can they function without it?

I don't have experience with that set, but I am almost certain its critical to function. I would say those sets, at this point, are worth what their parts alone will bring. The engines being the most valuable piece.

Microsoft did their part and now totally done and wants no more of this, its ancient technology .. Ample workarounds or solutions exist but none are cheap... $3,000 - 5,200 depends on how cheap you wanna be ..
