hey guys hope your well. I just acquired an Mep-807a 2009 model year with a cat engine. It’s in great shape and has about 1100 hrs. The bad it throws a code that says high voltage detected on the low voltage side which doesn’t allow it to run unless you do a battle short and bypass it then it will run and produce power. Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Look here. Read the -10 starting instructions. Then look in the -24 for troubleshooting.

Did you hold the S1 (Start Switch) up until the Volts and Hertz stabilized? Release of the S1 before the set has stabilized often causes faults.

Did you reset the fault, before and after starting, to see if that worked, before using the S7, (Battle Short)?

No had no idea of any of those procedures. The more I read and find out the dumber I feel. I thought it was a simple start and go. Would you know if this unit would be able to be converted to single phase? It has the 12 lead board.

You will have to do that manually. The first step is get it going so become familiar with what the books say and then we go from there.
Yes correct, I’m going to read into it tonight and also try the suggested steps and see if that gets it going I also read that it could be configured incorrectly and might have to be reconfigured referring to the DVR

Again, get it going as it is supposed to before trying the change.
Yes that’s my first step and goal and sorry my last post sounded like a statement I was just asking about the DVR being possibly misconfigured and if that could be causing my issue
