mtv wont hold fuel pressure.

Hi, just picked up a mtv. 3116 cat. it cranks and will kind of start after pumping the hand primer. Then I have to pump the hand primer again. I don't see any leaks in the system but seems like air is getting in some how. Any thoughts? Thanks, adam

Primer pump rubber dries out replace whole housing and both fuel filters.

As Will said check that rubber. Are you cracking the bleed screw on the secondary filter to remove the air after filter change or are you getting air in the system after just running?

it's like new air is getting in the system. Just won't hold pressure in the line. Sounds like the little hand pump is bad. Thanks
