My friend Allan said the only cars he passed with his deuce were a Ford Escort and a car that looked like it was about to catch fire. The deuce is fun to drive.

I recently got to drive another members truck, his screen name is srodocker. I tell you, it was all I could do to resist posting my own thread. I cant wait to get my own now!

I just asked to ride shotgun, and he offered me the pilots chair :) I was happier than a clam!

Thanks for the post Tom!

Thanks also for driving the truck back. As could be seen, I had my hands full bringing back a nice M1028.

That deuce you drove must have ran well cause the GPS said you were cruising at 60 on flat ground and never dropped below 50 even on uphill sections.

So how long before the wife gives in and lets you buy one?

Nice video, you needa deuce.....;)! What was the hold down bracket for way out at the front center of the hood? It looks like the safety catch used on the cowls just in front of the standard M35A2 windshield on the driver's side to catch the hood latch when the hood's in the up position...... Curiousity kills the cat, you know.....

I just noticed the bracket now that you mentioned it. There's also 2 of the spring type hood latches toward the back of the hood.... I'll have to look tomorrow but neither of them make much sense :?:

The two latches on the hood are to keep the windshield from bouncing on the hood when you decide to lower the windshield.

You're really asking the wrong guy if you want to know anything about a Deuce. Half the time I spell Deuce wrong. My sum total of Deuce Knowledge comes from riding in the back of them a few times when I was in the Army and the 3 1/2 hours drive I did on Tuesday.

I saw the hook out there and assumed it was to hold the hood up when it was opened.
