Got the M3A1 Scout Car aimed and painted! Just need to add the 4 stars later. The cell phone camera altered the tint on the paint color. It's OLIVE DRAB.

I am trying to decide what to do with my latest plans for a cargo truck. The plan is not quite a M35 or a M813. It's like a combination of both. If I go with a M813 I need to extend the frame to allow for the storing of the spare tire. Modify the cargo side walls to 6 uprights (ends Included). Fuel tank is on wrong side. Missing the battery boxes and tool boxes as well.

If I go with a M35 I will need to modify the front grill and hood. Remove the air filter for mushroom cap. Swap the fuel tank and tire carrier sides. Need to add tool boxes as well.

I also want to add spring packs to the axles as well as the differentials for better look on either truck options.

Which truck would you prefer? (either way there will be modifications to the original plans)

*** I think I will make custom bows for the truck. Then maybe we can find someone that can sew a mini cargo cover with a rolled up back panel. (so you can see the bows inside)

Are plans good for more than one vehicle or are they destroyed in the building process? Like templates? If so, decision is purely yours and what your heart desires....ive never owned an M813....i do own a M35a2. Not sayin that is a reason.....LOL

Most of the designers use PDF files for the models. This allows me to print additional template for the parts or to enlarge them.

I'm most excited for this. The M35 is what got me in to MVs, it's my first MV, it will forever be my favorite wheeled MV. If you want/need pics for reference, I'll gladly volunteer whatever you may need, can even convert pics to line by line SVG if need be.

Your work is beyond words, thank you for sharing

All my model work is done manually, no CNC or laser cutting. The only thing I will need is a mini cargo cover sewn. Once I fab and install the bows in the cargo area i can get precise measurements for the cover.

My first MV was also a M35. It was sold to be used on the movie set of EXPENDABLES. It was the truck Stallone blew up.

Awesome! I can imagine it's a bittersweet feeling for you watching the movie.

I talked to my wife this morning and she's on board to make the cover, she dabbles in miniatures so it's right up her alley. When you get the dimensions let me know and we'll set it up along with what color you want it to be.

I really appreciate it. It will make the finished model really special. As far as the color standard military green fabric would be perfect. Thank you so much!
