The door could have been changed? does the truck have over load springs? the best no question way would be to check the nsn number being its got a 208 in it I would think its not a 1031

It' most definetly a 208. What is a nsn# It really dosen't matter just curious now, so I must know hehe. That's what I was thinking is it would be easy to swap doors. Would the vin# tell me anything usefull?? Thanks.

Edit, I just checked one of my M1008s and the new M1031 has 9 leafs just like the others.

the nsn number is listed on the sill plate on driver door post just below the door latch pin the 1008 is 2320-01-123-2671 and the 1028 is 2320-01-127-5077 if its not one of those I will have to look up the 1010 and 1031 not sure off top of my head !![thumbzup]

Very cool & thanks but my 2 M1008s or atleast I thought they were, both had np208s also and said M1008 on the doors have a stock # of 2320-01-123-6827 and both have a mfg. date of 02/86
My new one has a stock # of 2320-01-123-2671 with a mfg. date of 84 I can't remember the month and a M1031 on the door.
Now I'm confused.

a m1031 has a able body made of alumimumn that comes equipped with a pto 12kw altenator and a 5cfm three phase air compressor it can operate a welder.it is also equipped for cutting torch tanks.it is a very handy unit to have.i have an 1986 with only 7.500 miles.one of the best service trucks you can have.

Technically, the M1031 is a cab/chassis. It is most often equipped with the “Contact Maintenance” box you reference, but it doesn’t necessarily have to have the box to be an M1031.
