need an M38 gas tank

I recently picked up a 1951 M38 and need an original fuel tank. I have owned many vintage Jeeps and have never come across a project that is rust free (zero rust) and virtually unmolested. Other than being painted yellow at some point in it's life by the Wyoming Wildlife Department it is completely original, B O lights, 24 volt, everything. Odometer shows 16,XXX miles and I believe that to be original. Fuel tank is the only thing that is missing, anyone know where I can get one?

M38 Fuel Line

I recently purchased a 52 M38, which had a leaky gas tank that had been patched inside and out with fiberglass, bondo and something else. I looked at KaiserWillys and bought a replacement tank @ $420. It wasn't any cheaper anywhere else i could find, and I don't scrimp when it comes to gasoline, especially when I'm sitting on it. The tank only comes in terra-cotta (?) so you'll have to paint it. It's good quality replacement, as it should be for that kind of money.

The problem I'm having is replacing the copper fuel line with steel. I opted for the pre-bent kit with all the fittings to replace the modified ice-maker tubing it came with, but it comes up about 6" short, so I'm wondering if there's a cutout valve or something missing. Is there a site to show where to place the fuel lines, clips and fittings?
