If you want to switch to CV-joints, I have seen them at Clark truck parts, WV... also in Barstow, CA perhaps a bit out of the way...

I've got a long side inner shaft - no u-joint, no stub shaft. If thats what you'll need, I'll be in Savannah Ga from Oct 17-19 for the Seafood Festival in Richmond Hill.
