The one I got is 108 amp with the female plug ground post and pos post and the little nipple. I really could use the help

The correct alt is a 100 amp(not 108).

I just rebuolt my engine after thecrank whent out and the oil light comes on at idel and its to the full mark on the stick and has a new oil pump

Open the thread and look for post #144. It will be on the last page.

Or I will do the work for you.

That is because if the 12v/24v system. The 12v from GEN1 feeds into the "isolated ground" of GEN2 and combines with the 12v that is generated by GEN2 and outputs 24v (12v+12v=24v). if the GEN2 does not have the "isolated ground" the system would not work as designed.

on GEN2 don't think of it as a ground terminal. Instead think of them as the "input" terminal and the "output" terminals.

I would think calling it a Negative terminal(negative to the rear battery) would be less confusing.

Just like the battery cables(are connected).
