Need transfer case help

DMF

New member
I have a transfer case from a 6x6 with split axles in my home-made skidder. The output shaft to the front axle is leaking. I removed the driveshaft and I need to buy a 1-1/2" socket to get the yoke off. Is that all I need to remove to get the seal out? There is a cover surrounding the seal with 4 bolts; does this need to be removed as well? Is there an exploded view/parts list available for this T-case? I looked in the TM forums but could not find any. Thanks in advance for your help!

Yup remove the yoke and the retainer, replace seal with modern seal (take yoke and retainer to bearing supplier for measurements). Remove shims if there is shaft play. Put a speedysleeve on the yoke if it’s grooved.

So the part with the 4 bolts needs to be removed as well then? Just trying to be clear. Thanks!

Yes that retains the bearing and holds the seal.

Shaft and bearing stay in place. The retainer cap holds the seal.
