We finished our lates 5ton 6x6 and put it into service today. It is a M813 with super singles. We got the truck from the Kansas Forest Service in December. We had a few issues with the power steering and the oil cooler but it is up and running now. We left the original bed on it and cut the sides off. The tank was one that we took off another truck. We ended up with around $8,000 in it with the materials, pump, and nozzles. The front nozzles are controlled with two switches in the cab and let one guy fight fire if needed.

The tractor is a 2008 M915A4 that we picked up this week from the Kansas Forest Service. It has 3572 miles on it. We are planning on building a 2700 gallon tanker out of it. It has a NTC 400 mechanical cummins, jake brake, air conditioning, air ride seats and a 5 speed Allison Automatic. It is a super nice truck.

Nice truck!

We've got an M52A2 with a 3,000 gallon tank on it (Very scary truck, I won't drive it). We also picked up an M915A4 in December and we're going to put the tank on it, goes in for paint next week so it shouldn't be too long now. We're going to make the M52 into a brush rig similar to the one you guys built.

Hope it serves you well! Stay safe!
