New Deuce Owner In need of a few Parts

I have just recently purchased a 68 m35a2 w/ ldt 465. I bought the truck not running, (supposedly only needs starter and generator) the owner wasn't sure if the motor was any good as he bought it from GL that way. I have seen several posts on forums from a while ago for starters and alternators that Deuce owners were selling for cheap.
I saw them on websites for several hundred each, but I am not even sure if the motor runs, so i dont want to spend 400-500 on parts when that is half the price of a whole new motor. Does anyone have one or know somewhere that does for a reasonable price?

Search E-Bay for "beltfed34" he should have some.

Well you could allways pull start it with a pickup truck. Just get it to 10 mph and put it in 2nd gear and dump the clutch. It doesen't need electricity to run. And if the motor is bad you'll find out with out spending any money.
