I am a "LEO" for LA County Sheriff's Dept. interested in Large Scale Outdoor Model Railroading, Railroad Signaling, just about anything railroad oriented and most things military. I served as both an M1 Armor and M60 Armor Crewman in both the US Army and the CAANG. I also worked for several years on the Union Pacific Railroad.

What a great sight you got here. I am in the process of purchasing an M818 with a customized Deuce bed. During my research of MV ownership I found this sight.

The resources here are almost endless. The sight has helped me cover all aspects including parking enforcement, commercial enforcement, registration, CDL, maintenance issues, that come along with MV ownership.

I look forward to interacting with you all here and hopefully meeting up with some of you along the way.

If there are any other MV owners reading this in So. Cal, particularly South Bay Cities and West L.A. areas PM me and we'll talk.

Welcome to the site!

"Large scale"-like G scale? Outdoor model railroads are the bomb.

Absolutely! I am the proud builder, owner and operator of the Union, Southern & Santa Fe Ry. Co. Now I just need an MV to round me out. And, Yes, I do have a complete military train complete with several miniature MV's. I even have pics for you!

Do railcars fall into the MV collecting genre??

Nice avatar! Welcome to SS and good to see another So Cal guy! There are a few of us out here. I have met and done some desert trips and MV club trips with a mess of them. I'm out by the 605/210 area. There's gonna be a scrap yard run Aug. 8th. Interested in going? There will be SS guys from as far away as Az. and some local guys too.
PM me.

Welcome from the IE !
Used to live in Rancho Cucamonga...off Summit, N/E corner of Rancho, the Wind Tunnel...for a short while. Frequented your area quite a bit. Had relatives off of Carnelian/Baseline in the late 70's. Thanks for the welcome.

I live just north of 19th , and one block east of Carnelian, how funny. We do desert camp outs at least twice a year in the Deuces if that interests you . The " Fall trip " discussion will start soon.
