Just got my first Duece in trade for doing a bunch of work for the local state forest. All its needed so far is wheel seals, repaired the drivers latch, and a battery. Its a 86 soft top cargo bed. It actually came from the base my cousin is stationed at in CT. Was previously assigned to a maint. div so is in really good shape. Has 31000 miles so I assume its been somewhere. I have learned alot from the site. I plan on putting a plow on it and painting it. I was a diesel mechanic for 10 yrs befor getting on the FD here so I have a lil background.

Welcome to the site.

And OD equipment is kind of like Lays Potato Chips... you can't have just one!

And to head off the other comments that are sure to follow...

This thread is worthless without pictures...

and

Make sure you read the TM's (Technical Manuals) - they can be found under the Resources tab .

I have a couple M105 1 1/2 ton trailers that look a lot better behind the deuce.

Might trade for a M101 3/4 ton trailer - send me a PM (Private message) if interested.

I'm near Albany NY.
