Hi guys.
I recently bought an M416 trailer. a 1966 Johnson Furnace #6-8384.
Probably against the will of many purists on this forum I am transforming it into an expedition trailer. You can see the progress >here<

I have run into a bit of trouble and am need of a few parts so. That is my main reason for hanging out in here but I also adore vintage military vehicle porn.:-D

High, bring your trailer out to the Ga. Rally in October! (link in my signature line). We like it all, stock and modified.

I will post some pics of a couple of 416's we civilianized last year later tonight.

Good to hear I would not be shunned after fabbing a tailgate in mine:wink:
I hope to have it back together by then but will not have the expedition part done for a while.

By "We" you mean you and your family, Right? I don't like to seeing these trailers cut up.Wayne

Sorry, let me rephrase.

Some people here like both stock and modified stuff.

Some people only like stock stuff.

Some people only like modified stuff.

That good enough?

Howdy, and welcome aboard. My parents live in Paulding, so I am up there once in a while..
Oh for modifying a trailer. thats what they were built for. I love the idea of having several trailers set up for special pruposes.

0, It's your and you can do as you like, I just didn't want to be included in as liking it. :-D Wayne
I certainly see where you are coming from tho. All "hobbies" (if it is ok to use that as a general term) have their purists and I respect them all. When I worked on air cooled VWs and saw someone destroying one that was rare and had a good body to make a roadster or a Baja or something it made me cringe.
