New guy to the site

Well just introducing myself to all you guys. I'm a Navy guy up here in Great Lakes, IL doing my shore tour as a small arms instructor. Been working for Uncle Sam a little over 9 years and looking to pick up my first MV. Been looking at M1009's mostly, still a newbie to these types of vehicles, VW's were my main hobby before now. But I think with my technical mindset I'll have some fun working on whatever I get. I'm sure I'll be talking to you guys a lot more once I pick one up and need some help. Thanks to all you guys for sharing your knowledge and advise to new guys like me.

Welcome aboard. Glad you're there and not me. Uncle sam has been fairly nice to me and kept me fairly warm the last few years. I'm stations in So-Cal. I've learned a lot and spent a lot due to this site. But it has all been good.
