Heres a question , are miltary surplus generators as available as trucks? I have a 1964 Onan 45KW 3 phase genny powered by a Ford 292 V8. It has 125 hours on it. It is way to big for my needs at the EOC in town. I got the go ahead from the town heads to sell it or trade towards something we can use. My plan was to put it on the truck for a portable pwer source during emergencies. But I do not think it would make it through the river when it floods out. Beside its got too much power for a temp emergency shelter.
