Hey everyone, new cucv owner here.
First thing is specs of my rig.
1984 M1009
6.2 j code
th400-np208
currently 10 bolts and 3.08s
3 inch body lift
waiting to install 38x12.5r15 tsls

Gota few questions. i just picked up a 14 bolt with detroit and 4.56 plus a dana 44 with flat top knuckles. it has 6 lug on the front, i want to convert to 8 lug.

Can i use the same calipers just need the backing plates for 3/4 ton?
What brake lines do i need?

what backspace wheels do i need to clear the drums on the 14ff rear, eventually getting disk conversion?

i also have a 4 inch lift kit to install as well as a complete turbo setup from a 93 6.5.
its a gm8 turbo.

Any other specs needed i can provide, just using my phone so i cant put pics up yet

Welcome to the site.

You can download the Army repair manuals here on this site as well as several others.

Check the CUCV wiki for lots of good info.

GOING BACK to 24v is fairly easy

I've done a couple of CUCV's of mine over the years that were converted to 12v

it is really easy

welcome to the green addiction - is that your 1009 in your avatar?

and yeah, DOWNLOAD the TM's

I've got them all and when I need something, I look it up - THEN I PRINT IT OUT so when I go out and work on my truck, I've got the part of the manual I need to do the job

VERY handy to have
