I just purchased this M1009, this week. 54k miles. No rust out of Texas. It had been donated to a police department. Runs great. So far, everything seems to work as it is supposed to. Anything I should look out for? I am a rookie at these. I have many decades of experience with gas engines, so I am going to have to go through a big learning curve.
Thanks
Dave

Welcome to SS.

Start in the CUCV forum, read the Wiki and the stickies. And then download the free technical manuals and read the TM 9-2320-289-10 manual. It is your owners manual for the beast.

Thanks for the welcomes. It is white. It was painted white and was going to be used as a police vehicle in Texas. The problem was no one wanted to drive it. Too hot for them. For some reason they didn't like the fact that it didn't have A/C. Runs fantastic.

Im so use to being in the heat driving these things isnt new no truck i have owned has ever had ac that worked. Maybe oneday i might own a truck with ac :grd:Btw i have two m1008s and well thats the start then u go up to the big trucks, again welcome to the site that really does look like a nice blazer the white looks good .
