Hello everybody, I'm from east TN. I have been using the site for some time to get info on a couple trucks my dad and I have. I have a m35a2 multifuel that I have been fixing up. My dad has a couple 5 tons, not sure of the model, I think they are from the mid to late 80's maybe. We have used them for hauling fieldstone for many years.

I have done a few things to my m35 so far. I have been working on putting a metal top on the cab. I already had some sheet steel and I figured it would be cheaper to just build one myself then getting the canvas top. I have also made and installed a 4" stainless steel exhaust.

I'm in the process of adding a dump bed to it, I have most of the parts already. I also have a 20,000lb hydraulic winch I am thinking about adding to it.

I will do my best to get some pics of the truck. I can't ever remember to take any.

Welcome to the group, from north Alabama! You came to the right place. There are folks on here that know every bolt on these trucks, and are happy to help if you need it. We also LOVE pictures, so please do post some. I'm interested in how you plan to hook up your hydraulic winch. Mine doesn't have a winch of any kind, I see a lot of the original PTO winches, and lot of electric. Good to have you here! Again, welcome.

Welcome to the outfit!

Sounds to me like this big green truck action is a family affair at your place. Between you and dad having three trucks - you already have one more truck than people to drive them

Yes sir... 3rd in line here asking for pictures too. Some of your truck and heck, why not create a thread with pictures of your other "green family" members too?

I don't know what kind of business you might be in, but there are always people looking for hard tops for Deuces and 5-Ton's. There are a LOT of 7-Tons that are coming home from recent deployments that need tops too... Might be worth looking into it if you have the skills and tools and time.

Welcome to the group from North Carolina.

I do have a couple tread ideas.

I really enjoy fabrication and problem solving trying to figure out how to make something work. I don't really have all the metal working tools to be able to make things consistent. I do most of it by hand. Mostly a lot of trial and error.
