New to m1008, need trailer info

I just purchased my 1st m1008, and am scheduled to pick it up in a few days!!!! I plan to keep it original, but I need to mount a frame type trailer hitch under her. My question is can a 7 way RV type plug be wired just as though this is a civilian k30, or is it different?
