Flushing the cooling system, so what's the purpose of the rubber plug in slot for dual thermostats for, and would 2 thermostats be better? , anyone with pictures and kit info for coolant filter kits?, and anyone with correct wix oil filter # for Cummins 8.3L engine. have new cooling hoses on the way,

Made the trip from Atlanta to central Alabama , thanks for any help
