Okay, fair warning for next year, then. Clare is almost always the 3rd weekend in August. Grayling is almost always the last weekend in September. Mark them on your calendar, go ahead, make a note, let your bosses (home and employer) know ahead of time when you need off! 
Also, if you're looking for stuff to do with MVs in SE Michigan, check with Arsenal of Democracy MVPA and Great Lakes MVPA. There's Thunder over Michigan, The Woodward Dream Cruise, and a few other events they've got the latest information on. There's usually a ride near Battle Creek in the Spring, and the Balloon Festival at Jackson, too. If some of these already happened this year, start making next year's plans.
