I got a new fel pro #os4250c gasket set that has front ,rear and both side cork gaskets and two small pieces of rubber about an inch long.What are the rubber pieces for?

There is an aluminum part inside the front of the oil pan that is bolted to the block, the rubber pcs are between the aluminum bracket and the block.
