I have just gotten for my Fire Department an NF2D light cart - looks great. It does not have batteries however, just a spotless battery box and brand new cables.

My questions - is this a 24 volt or 12 volt system?

TM's available anywhere online?

Any great tidbits of knowledge out there on this thing?

This is a picture of the data plate, and a picture of an older unit
but very similar found here on SS and shamelessly plagerized.

Should be a 24v lead acid battery......the same as on some aircraft (C-130, C-141, KC-135, etc.). That is usually where our batts. that failed load tests went to....

I don't know what the retrofit was about though.........does yours have square light sets? I have seen newer ones w/Kubota engines too.

I did google, but found nothing. This is 12 volts, it has the Kohler genset inside with 1 square light, but I believe it is supposed to have two of the lights.
