I've read here that the TM available is for the newer NHC-250, and that the M800 series uses an older engine.

Can anyone verify this, and if so, how do I get the manual for the NHC-250 in the 800 series trucks?

I want to learn everything possible about the engine.

The engine in the M800 series in an OLD design, like from the early 70's. Cummins went to the "Big Cam " in around 1980 or so. The Small Cam was only used in the military trucks and some industrial applications after that. The industrial aps stopped when off road emissions advanced. Dunno why Uncle Sugar opted to keep using a N/A, non piston cooled, low HP engine instead of going with newer turboed technology. The engines are almost the same. Guess it would have something to do with parts standardization.
