Dads truck has no brakes. Worked fine then got in it and the pedal goes straight to the floor. Found a leak somewhere on the master cylinder, has plenty of air pressure. Even with the master cylinder full no brakes.
Any ideas?

Fill it up and see if U have peddle ,If a ton of fluid leaks out, u may think it would be dangerous to move, and U may be correct, if U fill it up and the peddle stays hard for awhile, U may think it is safe to move a short distance, u may be right, Maybe not. If U think it is to dangerous to move in this condition It probably is and you are probably right , I will repeat above advise, Fix the leak.

Think I would go to Ace hardware and get the little pump up garden sprayer. The one I got when you take off the tip it screws right into the top of the master cap without any fittings. Bleed out the system starting with the airpack then the wheels. As for the leak you can pull down the master cyl. rubber boot and see if any fluid runs out.

Okay, yeah theres no pedal even when i fill it up so I will look for the leak
First thing to do is to pull the rubber boot back on the master cylinder and see if fluid is there. If there is then the master needs to be rebuilt/replaced. If it is dry behind the boot then refill it and bleed it at the airpack. Then go to the farthest away wheel which would be the rear right wheel and begin bleeding the wheel cylinders working your way forward. Once that is done check for leaks. Of course if there is a leak you already know about fix it first.

Also build yourself a pressure bleeder. They aren't expensive to build and make bleeding the brakes a simple task. They are also great for finding leaks. Simply pressurize the system and start looking for leaks.

If the m/c was empty, the first thing to bleed is the airpack. Just filling the m/c does nothing at all.

Have you read any of the TM that covers the brakes?
