transmission light on dash is on but no start, can jump from what i call cilanoid and it will start and light will go off but cannot start with button
Assume things are much colder there for you now right?? Try button from different spots on the botton.... wiggle it as you push..... Cold makes things contract.... making connections even further apart... aka.... look for simple. things first... maybe button internals not making good connection... made worse by the cold. Not the first time that has been mentioned in here.

others will chime in on what relay to listen for etc. to further diagnose.

Same basic questions for a no-crank. Which relays in the power panel energize when you turn on the ignition switch? Do you have a low oil idiot light in the dash light panel? Depending on the truck(you didnt say what year and model truck this is) K11 and K24 or K26 must energize when you turn on the ignition switch. They are controlled by the low oil pressure switch and transmission controller. they serve to lockout the starter after the engine has 15PSI of oil pressure, but must be energized to provide power to K1 in the panel.

K1 should go click when you push the button. If it does then everything in the cab is probably OK and the problem is down on the drivers frame at the aux relay(should also go click when you push the button. The aux relay powers the starter solenoid to actually crank the engine…
