Makes sense to me.

What brand paint was the tan?
It was Gov surplus that I bought from a long gone mil paint surplus vender ( killed himself )
As mentioned it was single part carc ( B ) and even though it had half the VOC's of normal carc it was still horrible stuff to work with. The 686 is what US military used in desert storm, its a copy of the British desert tan.
