The NYC Vets parade sure is the one to go too if u can, the LongIsland and NYC Clubs have been doing em for alot of years, They invited the MTA of north jersey in 2001 and i went to hang with them , It was so much fun we the MTA started runing a convoy with police escort thru the tunnel all the way to 29th st where we stage, the parade is about 3 hours long so we get to watch about 1.5 hours at least before we kick off, unless u go with one of the clubs they say they are trying to be stricked on attendance on an attacthed letter for the registration i fill out every year for the MTA, So I have posted here last year, and will again any and ALL Steel Soldier guys that want to do it next year can contact me or I am sure any of the other clubs that go,to be on the list, as our guest, U can meet us there or if from New jersey can meet up and jion the convoy in, its about 20 plus trucks and Jeeps this year, was a little light this year but that happens, alot of guys who could not make it said they were not going to miss next year, It is very very tight and We kick off our first staging area at 0610 at the Dover Armory and then again on rt46 and rt3 at the 6 Brothers diner on the way to the lincoln tunnel, we pick up our escort there , and Man they are awesome, We run ALL tolls and Lights , its like the President comming in, they do a spectacular job with us. All are welcome, we just need advance notice and cell numbers of drivers....see ya next year...Randy

So, the USO girls were there, and The "Angel" had the gun rings, makes a complete parade in my mind. That NYC Veteran's Day Parade is the largest in the United States, and is covered by all NYC TV stations, I was working downstate and saw it on the evening news on 3 different channels. I would love to go there with "Aces & Eights", I will really try for next year. I thank all of you who attended, it makes me proud to know so many of you, and especially, a big thank you to Randy Emr for sticking with it and always putting in your all to everything you do for us. Totally awesome. I'm so glad that the hobby lets our troops know that we remember. It really does mean a lot to them. The vets appreciate it even more.... All flavours, shapes and colors... Thank you Vets! Because of you I have the freedom to complain. I try to use my judgement to not do that often, and only when it REALLY mattrers!
