Oh, Lordy, It was converted to 12 volt!

I just purchased a '53 M38A1 - and I knew it was converted to 12 volt. I am in the process of just getting it street legal now, but later I will completely restore the 24 v. system. In the meanwhile, I can't find a power distribution panel. I have looked on the schematics and don't see one so I am assuming I don't know what I am talking about. On my CUCV I was able to hook the winch up so that it only worked when the key was in the "on" position. I can't figure out how to do this on the M38A1. Anyone got any ideas?

Your A1 never had a fuse panel, solenoids, relays, or circuit breakers with the exception of the one in the 3 lever switch.

A power relay connected straight to the battery will power your winch - control the coil of the relay with the ignition circuit. Done.
