I have a breather vent type deal on my oil filler. Do I need it? Should I have a plain cap on there? Does this mean it has excessive blow by and someone stuck it on there?

That's not the correct oil,filler cap...looks like a CUCV.

Yea I was thinking something is up, I've been around my fair share of military hmmwv's and I've never seen a cap like this while performing a PMCS. Thanks for confirming.
