I have a M817 that I just changed the oil and added an oil filter spin-on adapter. It came with no instructions. I put the included gaskets on and torqued it down. I am now leaking oil where the adapter mates to the old filter base. I am guessing I failed to do something simple. Is there an install video or directions anywhere?

What is the adapter base #? There are 2 types.

I did not see a casting anywhere in the adapter. I did see 5T-514 on the item description. I hope this is what is needed.

Thank you all for the help. It was as simple as the old gasket was still on the housing. I need to get some worklights 🤓
Well just glad it was something simple. If you still have it the old rubber gasket it is a reuse type on the canister so keep it. Had a friend that need one a long time past and I just happened to have one and gave it to him.
