855 Cummins in an '85 923. Oil pressure gauge is at rest at zero with the engine off. Start the truck it pins high. Gauge or sender?
Any part numbers or napa numbers on the gauge or sender?
Where can you tap in for a mechanical gauge?
The sender I believe is on the driver side correct?
Thanks Doc

I have fought Oil pressure gauges on several military trucks. Go mechanical with steel braide covered Teflon line and never look back. Early military jeeps used a mechanical gauge that will use the same gauge lighting as the OEM gauge.. Yes the sending unit on the driver side engine block about middle of the engine block.

Check that the gauge has a good ground before replacing anything. Run a independent ground if necessary.
