Thanks everyone for all the help. I am up and running on one converter, with all 12V accessories properly grounded back to the converter NEG. I haven't attacked the CB yet, other than checking voltage. I appreciate all the input, thanks again everyone.

Gents,

Thanks to all of you for 12vdc and 24vdc guidance. Now I know why I have been having trouble installing my Amber light. In addition I would have fried something during my CB install on my LMTV. I am planning on hooking up a converter, and a battery equalizer. Before reading this thread I would have hooked up the antenna ground to the vehicle without the converter. That sounds like a must have, for a 24 / 12 volt system.
