1970 Kaiser-Jeep M35A2 Bobbed and singled! A work in progress but lots of fun for my 12 y/o son and I.
New fan belts, tires, batteries, lights, brakes, wheel cylinders, A custom rear bumper, custom Reese style receiver hitch.
The bump stops on the tailgate rest perfectly on the rear bumper.
No leaks of any type at the moment.
I was a 63N Tank Systems Mechanic from Nov. 1977 through Oct. 1986, So I already knew what I was getting into when this truck was purchased. (April 2004 from Roger in London, Ohio)
I am hoping to get it sand blasted, prepped, and panted CARC 383 this spring. (I am thinking about accenting it with tan accents. But not sure, also may go with Calli style mirrors.)
Go easy on me please.

Any and all advice is more than welcome.

Nice truck hdmax,

What is the toggle switch for in the lower left hand corner of your dash? Also, the keyed switch, does it enable and disables the starter switch button?

Sorry about that! Would it be possible for you or a mod to move this into that thread?
I don't want to use up band width by uploading the same pictures twice. (The sites, not mine.)
Don't you dare!!! WE LOVE deuce porn!!!

Just get a good side view ... and maybe a front shot and post it on that thread.

Advice? Sure.

Before you ask ANY questions around here ...

1) Read ALL the appropriate TM's first.

2) ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS Use the search function.

3) NEVER NEVER NEVER ask a question that has EVER been asked before. (yeah ... I know. But it REALLY puts the Mary Kay Ladies around here in a snit if you do)

4) Go back and read ALL the rules for this forum. There WILL be a test.

5) Sit up straight ... and don't slouch.

Has your 12 y/o driven it yet? Blown the horn?

Are you guys having fun? THAT is ALL that matters.

Get LOTS of pictures!

BTM ... the bumper looks fairly substantial.

What did you build it outta?

The extra tail lights are a good idea. I keep thinking about that when I look at the rear of mine, but I hate the idea of getting rid of the orig lights.

Maybe I'll just put a pair on each side.

I installed a dome light and put the toggle switch in for that.
Yes the key sends power to the started button. Without in in the on position the start button does nothing. (It is to deter would be thieves from driving off with the deuce, not that many thieves know how to start or drive a deuce, but for those that do, this makes it a little harder to start.)
Thanks for the compliment!
I still need to add a toggle switch for my backup lights.

Thanks! I am an ok welder, but I don't think I am good enough for welding spring drop shackles.
I now want to put a 4-5 inch lift and 46" Michelin tires.
I hope to paint it this spring so it would be nice if the lift were on before that.

Thanks for all the compliments and advice fellow MV enthusiast!

Paul; Do you a guy from Holland, Mi. named Eric Merchant? He used to work at the Chevy dealer ship as a Duramax Diesel mechanic.
I went up there to a Diesel get together back in maybe 2004

I had met him before, but I do not presonally know him on any level. I believe he owns, his own Diesel shop now. I think it's called Merchant Automotive.
