Not communications but rather structural.
My next project is to install the tunnel plywood which is missing from my M1097A2. It must have originally been in a 2-man configuration but is now a 4-man soft top. There are 10 1/4"x28 rivnuts already installed between the dog house and the B pillar. I need to install a few more pairs between the B and C pillars. Does anyone know if the structural cross members/channels, between B and C pillars, are open and free of obstructions? I have not been able to determine the answer from looking at the TM's.
Thank you in advance.

I have been rolling around under mine and don't remember anything running through them. Dirt and mud maybe. Time for the creeper and flashlight.

Staying on the top of high side of the ridges and using a drill stop should work. Riv-nuts not that long. But check before drilling.

Wear helmet if planing to stand up, CAMO

The wood decking is secured via self tap water screws, for the rear piece of wood “OEM” it takes 6 screws.
The front wood for a 4 man is a bit longer than what is in a 2 man truck.
