Original Data/Serial # Plates

Is there any value to these? Should I save them for a future project? A neighbor has a truck he has been using for Log skidding, heavily modified, rear of the frame chopped off years ago, rear axle moved forward and directly welded to frame rails...Not for the weak of back!
FWIW, it was originally a Corps of Engineers Shop truck/van.

Yes, save them! There are collectors looking for such items (not necessarily on these forums) and as those trucks become rarer, collecting the dataplates might be the only link to them, at least locally.
