Took the M915A1 and Scorpion to a local truck show yesterday.

Local National Guard Unit showed up with this:

Oshkosh M1142 TFFT Tactical Fire Fighting Truck, never seen one before let alone climb all over it.

M1142 Tactical Fire Fighting Truck (TFFT)

The M1142 Tactical Fire Fighting Truck (TFFT) is an integration of an Oshkosh HEMTT chassis mated with a commercial Pierce fire fighting package. M1142 was delivered for testing in 2005 and first fielded in 2007. Pierce Manufacturing division of Oshkosh is the integration contractor.
The M1142 Tactical Fire Fighting Truck (TFFT) is a multifunctional vehicle, ready to deploy in almost any terrain to combat five types of fires/hazards: wildland; structural (limited to two stories or less); petroleum, oils, and lubricants (POL) and hazardous materials (HAZMAT); tactical vehicle; and aircraft crashes.
The M1142 Tactical Firefighting Truck (TFFT) is a standard M977A2 HEMTT chassis carrying an add-on commercial firefighting package. The M1142 is served by the XM1158 HEMTT-based Water Tender (HEWATT) to support Army requirement for a water tender capability for Army Engineer Firefighting detachments and Ordnance Ammunition Companies. HEWATT carries a 2,500 gallon polypropylene water tank, a Darley 500 gpm pump (hydraulic drive), a booster reel with capacity for 200 feet of 1.0 inch booster hose (electric rewind), 400 feet of 3.0 inch inlet and fill valving identical to the TFFT. HEWATT procurement is planned for FY2008-2009, replacing the M916 LET tractor combined with a water tank semitrailer.

Had a fleet (QTY: 3) of those when I was with 8th Ordnance Company. Most of our Firefighters were tasked out with the Fort Bragg fire department, so we never really had them running around. They were cool looking. Lots of smart capabilities and such that they brought over from flight line and similar fire operations.
