Not to not give you the answer but $500 is good for the product you're getting from Ouverson. They're tougher than a Detroit...but I don't know anyone outside of mud racing that's blown up a Detroit in a Rockwell.

The price they sell them for is supposed to be the same price dealers sell them for, some sell them higher of course.

Hey dilligaf13 would you mind if I asked a few locker questions in this thread? I don't want to derail the thread if it's not ok with you.

Have you guys with lockers had any problems with them not unlocking when they should(curve, tight turn, ect)?

Also, I have AVM hubs on the front of my truck so what about just placing a locker in the front?

You get the most bang for your buck out of front lockers. Having lockouts makes it a no-brainer (imhop.) You can have a fully locked diff off-road, but keep your on-road manners when on pavement.

When I have the funds I will have both axles locked on my bobber, I will probably use an ARB or a Grizzly + AVM in the front and Grizzly in the back.

Rear lockers can cause a loud popping noise when unloading, and can cause pushing when turning on pavement. They can also cause some scuffing on your tires and make the armstrong steering a little tougher.

First time my rear locker unloaded cornering on pavement in my LC I ducked my head and looked for the shooter (I lived in a ghetto.) It was that loud and startling. I pulled the whole thing apart to see what was broken inside. Turned out nothing was, and that was what it was supposed to do.
