The only real rust work I need to do on my new M1008 is the inner fender wells behind the front tires (What makes them go bad there?) Should I patch in some sheet metal, or is it better to replace the whole inner fender? Where is a good source for inner fenders.....preferably NOT made offshore. Thanks for any suggestions. H.

There is a reinforcement bracket spot welded to the fenderwell. Water and dirt get behind it and rust the fenderwell away. If you get new ones, put a weld bead around the perimeter or at least seal it to solve the problem.

I'm not a huge fan of aftermaket body pannels but i have used front fenderwells from a company called Certifit in the past and they fit as good as the GM ones.
