Really nice video. Maybe it's just me, but I would not be able to sleep that close to a cliff in a military truck. I'd have a bad case of the what if's. "do you hear an air leak at the brake cans?? Nah...can't be ......" lol

Yes the XZL’s are the ones I liked most. Also comes with an extra 7/32 of tread similar to the Petlas.
I was getting approximately 10% tread wear every 5,000 miles with the XZL and 15% tread wear every 5,000 miles with the Goodyear and XZL+.

Currently on my Goodyears I’m averaging about 1/32 per 1,500-2,000 miles.

Where did you find that data on the Petlas? Still curious about the bead thickness, if it matches the Michelin and Goodyear?

To me, the foot note is very important. You can take any of these tires and drastically improve the performance with siping. You can do slices or grooving. I have experimented with this on old tires and the Goodyears sipe well. I have not driven in snow yet with them, as we don't get much snow here.

With a bit of planning, you can get the best of both Worlds. Lets say you plan to go to Alaska. Sipe to the depth that you expect the tires to wear during that trip.

I’m guessing yes but some solid data or real life measurements is the only way to really know.
