Hey guys, I just wanted to bring up a quick thought. There are NOT enough video's around of M1008s/M1009s! I have very limited choices on YouTube! So please take videos of your CUCV doing whatever it does best and post 'em up!

Here's my first and only one so far (didn't get her street worthy yet!)

And here is a M1008 (No clue who it is, but obviously not from around here!) running over a car!

Im torn on the second video, pretty disrespectful to the truck. Maybe Im just too sensitive though.
I'm with you. Wrecked the **** out of the bumper and grill guard. :-? Also a good way to put a hole in your oil pan or bash it up into the rotating assembly, rip the diff cover off or smash that into the differential.

Anyways here's cold start and after the cold start vids of mine.

**** good looking M1009 you got there! I noticed you're in Grafton, not to far from me. You ever take that to car shows? I'd love to see it

Thanks. I can't take too much credit for it being so nice. The P.O. kept it in a climate controlled garage, repainted it and did a lot of the restoration stuff. And it didn't get the chance to get beat to death by the Georgia forestry dept after the military released it, since it had a bad IP pump. So it's sat around for a lot of its life.

Hows your new 1009 going? I have some extra parts, if you're looking for anything let me know.
Yea, I plan on taking it to some car shows in the area this summer.

Just an FYI, since I got a couple messages asking how to do it.

To embed the youtube video in you surround the youtube HTML address with: [ media] on the front and [ /media] on the end.

Well I actually have a 1008, but I always wanted a 1009. My first vehicle was a civi 1988 K5 Blazer with the 350 and 33" Mud Terrains, that's when I fell in love with them! :driver:

But anyways, my M1008 is having some sort of fuel problems. Its my first diesel but I'm learning! My goal is to have it running by Memorial Day (hopefully way before then!) for camping. You should let me know sometime this summer where your going to be at the shows, Id love to see your '09

Oops. Typo.
Of course, it wouldn't be a CUCV without fuel problems.

I'm dealing with trying to find some very illusive 135° angled tubes for the CDR system...I also need to figure out why the odometer doesn't work and the speedometer bounces all over (hopefully just a speedo cable). Then I plan on fixing up the interior a little, adding a radio, split bench seat and as much sound deadening as I can.

Yeah I'll let you know what shows I'm going to go to.
